Effeti's Wood 100% is a unique product made entirely from Chestnut - just a few of these kitchens are made each year.

Every piece of furniture in the Effeti Wood 100% is made from a single tree and has its own inimitable identity, as confirmed by a number stamped on the inside. Skilled cabinet makers are able to extract every single piece from the trunk of one chestnut tree. The trees come from ‘man grown’ forests where a systematic reforestation programme is implemented.

The trees selected for the manufacture of Effeti’s Wood 100% kitchens are over 100 years old. The planks are seasoned outdoors for at least 3 years before being cut into ‘roughened out’ planks. These are then weathered for 20-30 days and then the furniture manufacturing process begins.

A hand running over the surface of the Wood 100% furniture will, despite the perfect planing, sanding and numerous other processes the wood has undergone, still recognise the wood’s very essence. You can see the marked veins and the natural warmth of the material, and you will feel the emotion that is engendered through the knowledge that what has been created will outlive fleeting trends and passing fads.
