Following an Honours Degree studying the design and making of furniture, Michael started the practical business of designing and making furniture for discerning customers in his early 20s. Since then he has spent the past 20 years honing his talent not just for design, but for understanding and satisfying the needs of his customers.
As a designer, rather than a salesman, Michael is able to give his fully-focused atttention to the design process.
You will see on this site that Michael seeks out design partners renowned for their own exquisite designs and selects the products he works with and recommends very carefully. For example, Effeti Cucine - still a well kept secret exclusive to the design capitals of the world, well respected by architects - is just one of these partners. Custom installation. Michael Wright Furniture offers custom installation by fully trained and trusted fitters which takes place eight weeks after placing an order, or sometimes even sooner for bespoke furniture. Michael regularly checks and often supports the fitting team in the installation process on all his contracts, however large or small. What’s more, Michael often finds himself helping customers with aspects of their project beyond the initial design task, from providing technical advice to practical help sourcing the right finishes, to help create that perfect living space.

Bespoke furniture. Michael has been designing purpose made kitchens, bedrooms & bathrooms for over 20 years now. Some of his bespoke furniture designs remain unique to an individual customer’s specification, while others, like dining tables and benches have been repeated to small batch production.
Turn key management. Michael Wright Furniture’s services run from simply supplying to designing, supplying and installing kitchens and furniture, all supported by the very best project management.
